ORLANDO, Florida
So, our first official trip was to Orlando, Florida. The main reason we went there was to attend a conference "HILLSONG UNITED CONFERENCE" for the ones who know who they are. This trips was not hard to plan at all because we went along we two friends who knew people there; therefore, we had the accommodation for free. Besides the conference, we visited Universal Studios which was quite awesome and also got a great deal on tickets (only $40) because one of the friends we traveled with had a hookup. I did not find this trip to be challenging at all. It was just like any other trip to the USA.
About me and where I've been so far...
I always get asked by friends and family how I go about planning my trips and how I can afford them. My planning involves from deciding where to go next year, how to save money for it and so on. I would like to share this process with all of you so that you see that IT IS POSSIBLE. Now, get ready to also acquire some personal finance management skills since they have a lot to do with making this dream come true,TRAVELING!
Firstly, I will tell you a bit about myself. I am a married 31 year old, no children, who lives in Vancouver, BC. I've lived in Canada for almost 13 years from which 11 years I spent in Toronto and the rest living in BC. My husband and I decided to start traveling every year since 2007. I had only been to the USA and I felt I needed to go further to experience something different.
Just moving to BC was considered a travel experience. My husband and I are from Hispanic backgrounds and in our families and culture "traveling the world" is not considered a big thing (we mostly travel to the USA only) but instead we like to spend our money in acquiring material things in our lifetime and create experiences with them. Now, that is not everyone. I believe there is a new generation of people who have decided to know this beautiful world and its different cultures and people and just - let's say "wait for the rest to come at its right time."This is me!
First, let me start by telling you where I've been. So far, Paris and Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Kobe), Vancouver, Orlando. Some of these places - like Orlando and Vancouver - you may say, are mmm okay if you are from North America but if you are not they become quite cool to visit.
This blog is not only about places I've been and how I managed to get us there but also about the country we will visit this year and what we are doing NOW to make it happen. Here are three pictures of some of my travels but I have tons more i will post and tell you guys all about it if you ever plan to visit those countries.
Thanks for taking the time to read about my passion and what makes every year a different experience :)
